SUMMARY
The Ecommerce Associate supports Kids2 ecommerce product data and content integrity across the active portfolio and executes changes to products featured on Kids2.com (Shopify site). This role is the data owner for the “master version” of ecommerce-specific product data and attributes stored in our PIM system (Salsify) and is responsible for translating business and product specifications into ecommerce-friendly data and adhering to naming conventions (including creating new naming conventions and systems for organizing product content) to ensure Kids2 products are accurately and consistently represented online.
This role is challenging and fun. Above and beyond the day-to-day responsibilities, this is an important role on a fast-paced, high-growth team in a world-class organization. Some responsibilities will be consistent week to week but your day to day may vary.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Partner with Business Units and Digital Merchandisers to synthesize product specifications into ecommerce-friendly attributes (creating a single “master version” of ecommerce content/data) which can then be adapted for use on multiple sites with varying capabilities and requirements; keep these records up to date and free of gaps or errors
- Work with Business Units and Digital Merchandisers to achieve complete and consistent ecommerce product data updates are loaded on time and to spec in PIM (Salsify)
- In PIM (Salsify), maintain Profitero and Shopify product lists, channel accuracy and completeness
- Manage and update (set up/remove) Kids2.com product detail pages and category tags/site navigation according to digital merchandising best practices and product assortment, adhere to launch timelines and marketing calendar, validate changes, troubleshoot issues as they arise
- Ensure new items are added and discontinued items are removed per product lifecycle in coordination with Product Marketing Manager(s)
- Maintain high standards for SEO, mobile-first pages, and ADA-compliance; coordinate featured products on Kids2.com in alignment with updates to retailer brand stores and marketing calendar
- Responsible for maintaining a detailed tracker of digital shelf test-and-learns and optimizations by documenting key details and dates, and ecommerce completeness checks
- Attend webinars and read knowledge base articles to keep up to date on available capabilities and new features in PIM or other frequently used tools
- Seek improvements to process for organizing and tracking product content
- Learn to identify when to escalate an issue; follow up on open items daily until they are resolved
- Attend weekly touch base and regular team meetings; provide updates on launches, delays, issues, and wins; share about changes to PIM requirements or capabilities
- Support the Ecommerce Channel Specialist (Salsify admin) with channel updates, coordinate with Digital Merchandisers for key accounts like Amazon, Walmart, Target
- Primary POC for Profitero (add new users, coordinate meetings, communicate about new materials); keep Profitero Salsify channel up to date
- Own the managed keywords list; update quarterly and ensure data is loaded and archived bi-annually with ecommerce analytics platform (Profitero)
- Help edit/optimize ecommerce product titles based on keyword research for major US accounts
- Ad hoc support and projects related to ecommerce and ecommerce product data governance as assigned by the Ecommerce Channel Specialist or Director of Web & Ecommerce
- This role reports to the Ecommerce Channel Specialist
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- 0-1 year’s work experience in ecommerce, digital marketing, website management or education/internship equivalent
- Enjoys building relationships with customers and internal partners
- Experience in a Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) brand preferred
- Familiarity with PIM systems like Salsify and a willingness to become a subject-matter expert, learn new capabilities and share opportunities
- Working knowledge of SEO, digital marketing, ecommerce and websites / how products are loaded; experience with ecommerce copywriting a plus
- Quick learner; flexible and able to adapt to changing processes and responsibilities, juggle multiple projects and deadlines
- Has a strong sense of urgency; thrives in a fast-paced environment
- High aptitude for learning new software and understanding new technologies
EDUCATION & SKILLS
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in a business-related discipline (Marketing, Sales, Business Administration, eCommerce or related field)
- Proven project management skills, attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills
- Strong time management, problem-solving, and prioritization skills
- Able to work independently and together as part of a team
- Excellent communications skills (verbal and written)
- Comfortable working in a variety of digital/eCommerce platforms (e.g., Profitero, Salsify); willingness to learn and stay sharp
COMPUTER/TECHNICAL SKILLS
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc)

- While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to talk or hear. The team member frequently is required to sit; have flexible use of hands; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The team member is occasionally required to stand, walk, and taste or smell. The team member must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 – 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
